Meal planning saves my week!
EVENING ROUTINE! So Close To Bed Time!
Hi!
Good morning! Happy Monday! How was your weekend!
That time of year is here again where it getting chilly and it sure gets dark so early!
The other week I had shown my morning routine… I will have a link below for that blog!
My evening routine has shown to be just as important in this house! For everyone here!
My evening routine usually starts shortly after supper! If everything went fairly smooth then we are eating at 6:00 ish and start our routine round 6:45 ish… lol!
The importance of my evening routine!
When it comes too this routine it shares a big part in this house! We have all learned here that this routine has to be a part of our night! This helps everyone out in the house, whether they like to think it or not! Everyone has a part in the house, more then others but that is due to the age difference between them!
I have also noticed that my littles do not have to do as much as the bigger kids did when they were little! This is something I am working on too involve them more and more into the routines and pitching in with the house work!
The routine is important here I feel so that everyone know what to expect for the night! When it comes to needing to continuously tell everybody what they should be doing it can get really hard and chaotic around here and then nothing actually gets done other than I’m annoyed. This way I can simply tell the big kids it is time for evening routine oh, they didn’t know that they have to go and do their zones, get on pyjamas oh, and just get ready for bed and, then they can have whatever free time until bed as long as they have their chores done. I also have the routines located on the fridge I also have a more detailed part in my home binder.
I find the night routine can really help set the next day!
I don’t like going to bed with a messy kitchen or an over messy house. I want to get up and enjoy my coffee without having to see all extra stuff I have to do before I start my stuff for that day.
I’m not saying that every single night all of this gets done not even close! There are some names that I throw in the towel and just head to bed but, for the most part these are tasks that I try to have done every night before I go and watch my Netflix!
Right now I am watching the show Mom on Netflix and I love it!
What are you watching right now in your downtime?
WHAT IS ON MY NIGHT ROUTINE!
My night routine includes:
- supper away
- clean table and wipe it down
- clean and wipe counters
- load the dishwasher and wash any extra dishes
- garbage out if need
- tidy living room
- tidy and quick wipe down of the bathroom
- vaccume or sweep
- spot mop the floors (some nights are just to mop)
- pickup bootroom
- kids showers and/or baths
- kids bedtime routine
That is a quick glimpse of what my night routine consists of!
There is a bit on here yes! And this is where my kids zones come in to help me out. Each night the kids are to help with their zones usually between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. is when they do their chores.
HOW TO START A NIGHT ROUTINE!
The biggest thing when it comes to starting a routine no matter what time of the day it is is to start small!
A lot of the time I would go to start my routine and I would put so much on it that there was no way I could find the time and motivation to do it in the time frames that I gave myself.
When starting a routine, start with no more than three tasks! Usually the ones that will get added to an evening routine first will be chores that you’re already doing or want to do!
Chores like getting the dishes washed and possibly even put away, tidy up the kitchen who was the dirty kitchen cleaning up and maybe clean off the kitchen table or shine your sink.
Having just these three main chores we’ll make it so that when you wake up your house is just a little more inviting. As these chores become more and more of a habit then you can start adding more chores onto your evening routine.
Something that you will have to consider when cropping in your routine is whether you were going to do it when your kids are up or when they’re sleeping! Are they going to have chores to do with you or you doing it by yourself?
STICK TO IT!
Habits take time! We all know this and making a routine a “hibit” takes time!
They say it takes 21 days to form a habit!
When you’re starting a new routine I would start with one or two tasks that you really want done and that you want to make have it on you routine!
Then every week as your one or two tasks become easier and easier then that’s when you can add on another task! Keep adding tasks little by little for one month and that will give you four weeks to add tasks!
By the end of the month you should know what chores will work the best For What routine and you can just add and move your tasks as you see fit from how we or seasons change kids activities change all of that routines are meant to make your days better not to make you frustrated LOL.
Like routine? Let me know leave a comment or like the blog I would love to continue to do more of these it is truly something that is helped us a if my house and my sanity!
You can follow me on Facebook is where I post the most stuff I do have Instagram I don’t use it too much anymore, but I will definitely leave those links down below check them out. I tried to do a lot more day-to-day mom tasks, cleaning motivation organizing tips all of that stuff throughout the days. A nice way for moms to just know that they’re not alone and that all kids are kids and days can be hard but it’s okay mama it’s only a stage and we all need each other from time to time.
Until next week have a great day, a wonderful weekend and, a productive week!
Bye for now

Good Morning! My Early Routine!
Mornings in my house tend to get a little crazy! I try to have all my ducks in a row and it will still end up being a crazy show!
I have 4 kids here ages 12 down to 2! My 3rd child just started playschool and the older 2 are in school! It gets bonkers here when mamma does not have her head on right!
This is where my morning routine comes in to help keep my mornings as smooth as they can and to help with my sanity lol.
When I had started trying to figure out my morning routine I had stared with just a couple tasks then, as they got easier and easier to complete them I then added another and anothe until I had my routine where I needed it!
There are some tasks that I realized that I maybe couldn’t tackle in the morning 😳 and, so those tasks got moved to a more convenient time! For example I took some zone cleaning out in the morning and put in extra learning time with the toddler’s!
What is my morning routine?
I always start my morning routine with coffee time! Yes, this is part of my morning as it helps me prepare for the day! I accorpotated my coffee time with my wake up time! I have coffee and planner time before I start getting the kids lunches ready!
Every morning I know I will:
- plan my day
- make my bed
- get dressed and wash up
- get the kids up and pack their lunch
- unload the dishwasher
- tidy the kitchen
- start laundry
- make the littles beds
- play time, learning and story time
- if there is time some organizing and/or zone cleaning
Some days I can fly around the house and get everything plus some done! Other days I don’t get anything but my basics done! That’s ok!
I am trying to remember they grow so fast! They will not always be here all day! That’s another thing all together tho lol.

There is so many positive aspects of having a strong morning routine that I cannot get myself to not have a morning routine anymore!
They can seem intimidating when they are getting started but, if you just start small but one or two things on that need to be done and they throw from there it will turn into a smooth sailing system that you will truly be thankful for!
I hope this encourages you to try to start a morning routine they are a great thing to have you!

Why I Need My Main Routines!!
I have always being a person that has come to really love and respect my two main routes this is my morning routine and my evening routine.
I had talked about routines many times and I still will always keep my routines. Now I have realistically seen how important these routines are too me and also the house!

Hi I am Kandis creator of classic classics by Kandis. I am a stay-at-home mom of 4 kiddos, married to my hubby for 13 years and I love coffee, my planner and organizing!
This last week sure had some crazy not all super fun twists and events that had and has been putting through a couple tests!
The whole week was a crazy, blurred, emotionally testing one! I can say really the only thing that was holding the house together was strong a** coffee and strong routines!

I started using routines years ago, my routines are always getting revamped and switched however, over the years I have come to realize some staple tasks at certain times of the really make all the different!
With October coming up and life not throwing lemons my way but making me play dodge ball instead! lol I wanted to retouch on my routines and help make them seem less nagging and more helpful!
When life gives you lemons grab some gin and make a drink!

I hope you will comealong as I give my routines some love and understanding!
Make sure you follow along on the other social media pages! I have more day to day chores, tasks, cooking and cleaning fun there!
This month is full of all kinda of mom fun!
Make sure you follow the blogs too for all the up coming motivation!
Until next week
Have a great day, a wonderful weekend and a productive week!

ROUTINE POWER!
ORGANIZATION IS SOMETHING I LOVE!
FALL IS IN THE AIR!

Hi good morning!
It is crazy to think that fall is around the corner! 🍂 I’m pretty sure I has just did a blog about planting the garden lol. 👩🌾Now, the garden is dieing down and we are getting ready for leaves to fall time!
It is always a hard transition for me from summer to another season lol. I love fall, the smell of the crisp air the vibes, the fun decorations and pies! 🥧🍂
I am not a fan of the cold so, when it’s time to be getting fire wood and pickling or freezing goodies I know my tanning days are gone!

I shouldn’t say that is has been a very wonky summer/ fall. FUN FACT: Fall does not begin according to the calendar until September 22nd! 🗓Just saying! Hahaha
This summer it was a different year! There was so much on the go but, of coarse not all got done!
I tend to try to book my projects to the seasons I have some tasks that “overlap” this is so, when the weather changes I still have an idea of what I’m trying to get done before it too late and goes on next year’s list!
There is always tasks that need to get done at the end of summer, I guess these are coming up to my prioritize list soon. lol
When summer ends the chores get tight! With needing the garden out before its to cold! This year is extra important as I am doing extra steps in my garden this year to help me next year.
So my garden, is going to have to be pulled right away, let me know if you want to blog then about how the garden went?
This year I have plans on getting my garden cleaned out and rotatilled before the snow hits. This can be a hard sometimes because we don’t know when it’s going to start to freeze obviously but, especially here in Saskatchewan we have had some close to freezing and it’s already so it can be a tough call.
It is getting close the plants are getting lower every day! I have been pulling produce and every day check to see what is needing to come out! Cabbage is actually coming out next!
I got my fall decor box pulled to the front of my holiday crawlspace so, I can get some fall decorations up! I don’t have many but, there is not much time between “fall” decor Thanksgiving to Halloween so I never worried about it!
I thought I would do a good cleaning job around the house! Some dusting, wiping, sweeping and a good mop! Get everything tidied up then get what I have out and places too see if I want more! This is definitely not a need so, I try to make what I have work! The kids can always just make some decorations too if needed!
Do you decorate for fall?
Do you just wait till Halloween?
With this being still a “new” house since we just moved in about 3 years ago I am excited to make so many fun memories here!
I am trying to not make it crowded but, still look cute!
Want more personal day to day posts from to do list, cleaners, organizing just mom life?

Make sure to check out the other social media pages! I try to post something every day! I’ll leave the links down below!
I will have some of my fall decorations posted there with some hopefully new decorations coming!
I hope you enjoyed the blog, I look forward to next week’s!
Until next week, have a great day, a wonderful weekend and a productive week!
