Happy 2022

Hello, good morning!

Happy Monday! How was your holidays?

This year was a good christmas! It was filled with great memories, great gifts, way to much food and some good drinks! This year was also a little different! The way that is was different was that I had my christmas decorations down before New years eve! This is almost unheard of for in my house!

Last year I had kept my tree up and made it into a Valentine’s tree! It was the cutest thing I think! I will leave a link for the blog… go check it out it was a cute and fun idea!

Valentine’s Fun!

So why the rush this year?

There wasn’t really a reason or a big rush however, this year like I said it was a great christmas. I has woke up tho one morning just after christmas. We has had christmas here with my husbands parents and brother, then boxing day we had spent with my dad! He is unable to come out to my house due to a knee injury he is still recovering from!

So, we did our christmas’s then for some reason I was good to end christmas there! I think I was conent I had said ” It was a great christmas and lets leave it there! Let’s let those memories be the end of the year!” Really I did!

With my hubby saying I could start with taking down the tree decorations I just kept on going! It really was just what I needed!

Now, that the new year is here I am still so happy that I took the time when I did and got the decorations but away and a clean start to the new year!

The last ocuple years have been a blur, as I am sure it has been like that for many people! These years have been a wonky one and I am ready to MOVE ON!

With the New year here I am ready to start 2022 with a wonderful start!

Do you make new year resolutions?

Do you ever pick a word for the year?

I had started thinking of word of the year a couple years ago and I liked it enough to keep doing it lol! I find it’s a nive way to sprinkle some possitivity and motvation on the start of the year! I also make new year resolutions however, I do that one a little different! I don’t do big lists of things that I might or might not do! I have been trying to take a couple spots in my life that I would like to work on and every month I will try to do something with that goal or try to incorporate it into my days instead of junping in and feeling like it will not work and just stop a couple weeks into it!

I aim to improve myself or my life vs changing big almost impossible tasks!

This year I had thought about it and, different words had popped into my head for the new year but, one word made my head and my heart agree on!

That word is:

BALANCED

This word I think is a good fit for me expecially for in 2022!

I had ended up going with this for a couple reasons. When I had thought of this one it had stuck with me in the back of my head even while I was thinking of other ones! With the last couple years we defentily had a couple twists and turns along the way! As i’m sure everyone had some unexpeced turns occur in 2021!

This year I know that I needed to be able to handle my days a little better! I do defentily have anxeity and tend to overthink and just struggle with my own thoughts throughout some days! This was doing no good for anyone!

This is why I am hoping and planning to simply just tyr to BALANCE my days! I tend to think that there is really only one way to do something! Everything should be done and done right! This is not the way I need to be thinking!

There is more and more reason when I think about it of why my word of the 2022 year is BALANCED!

As a stay home mom, a wife, trying to keep the kids fed and for the most part contect. With everything that we do as a mom and a wife we are then also ALWAYS reminded that we need to make sure to take time for A,B anc C! This was not a strong suit of mine, in the aspect that I will not stop until its ALL done! Which some and probally most days is not possible to do everything that we are told we need or should be doing!

I picked the work BALANCED to remind my self and to try too become more BALANCED!

If you try to do to much at once it will be too hard!

If you try to put to much on one side without a balancer on the other side then you tip!

The one thing that I have been telling myself is “It’s not about how much I can do, it’s about being happy when I do it!” I can’t be scared to fall when I know that I might fly! If I can learn to balance my wings then who knows how far they will take me!

How about you? Do you use a word of the year to help with any resolutions that you may of made for the year?

I am planning on having a wonderful year with more fun with the blogs and more content on my social pages! If you are ready I would love for you to join me in the 2022 year!

Follow along on the blog I have a goal to get my life more organized and our house running as smooth as we can with so many people and so many different age catagories! I will also leave a link for my facebook and instagram! I have set goals to be more BALANCED with the pages and to have more talks with ALL OF YOU!

Until next week!

Have a wonderful day, a productive week and a smooth weekend!

Bye for now!

Pre cook some pop them into the freezer, or leave them uncooked and freeze them.
It does
Either way that works or just eat them all and save none because, well they are yummy haha.
I have been making my burgers this way for years, and I will not stop making my homemade burgers. Actually would you believe me when I say I have not had a premade burger in at least 8 years. 🤤

This is a recipe that can be make small or big you will see how easy it is to make lots at once.

You will need for a batch is:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 egg
  • Diced onion
  • Spices what ever spices you want I use parsley, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika

In a bowl mix all together
I use a measuring cup usually at least 1/4 cup
Scoop meat mix and flatten into a patty, place on cookie sheet and repeat!
Yap it’s that easy!

Grill, bake or fry about 10 min per side or until cooked all way through depending on the size of burgers you have made!

PREPARING FOR THE NEW YEAR!

Hi good morning and welcome back to Classic Classics By Kandis!

How is your Christmas?

Is all of your Christmas decorations still up? I took mine down actually before New Year’s this year, I don’t usually undecorate that early but, this year I thought it would be really nice to start the new year which is a clean start to the year!

I don’t always rush on undecorating my house, I love my decoration and I’m always really excited to get them up but, just like the entire world we decorated early this year, and even though 2020 was a “slow Christmas” all my kids are still ended up getting a lot of stuff!

So now along with having the two Christmas trees which by the way turn do really cute in the living room, and all of the decorations with all of the new toys there’s a lot of stuff here now!

My daughter wanted to wait until after New Year’s like we usually do, but she also agreed to doing it early this year if we take our time over a couple days! So we decided that we were going to just take your time and get it all taken down.

I had wanted to wait until I got to the city to get some more plastic totes, I ended up buying some at Walmart that’s so cute perfect red ones for like $7, which is a good deal here! I really wanted to get some of these tonight when I started packing up I was going to just put everything kind of on the table or the counter or wherever is safe at the time lol depending on what kids I have around me lol!

I was really excited but why in these because then I can get rid of some of my boxes that I’ve been storing my Christmas stuff in, the boxes are fine but some of them are getting a little older and this way I can still use some of the boxes if I don’t have enough room in the bins, still try to get the space more organized and then I can get more bins next year if need be!

So, as I am un decorating my house and still being a stay-at-home mom right there is still kids to take care of here right!

We’re still on Christmas break so there is no schooling, which is really kind of nice right now just to give all of our brains to break, as we were doing the remote learning in the beginning of the year!

I’m still not sure what the new year is going to bring, and I don’t know if we’re going to still do the remote learning or if we go back to school or if we’re doing like both and that part is also, stressing me out a little!

So this week is a busy week as we wind down getting ready for 2021! There is so much unknown coming into the year, but I am trying to just stay strong!

This brings me to my next topic of prepping for the new year, my word of the year, along with some goals to that I would like to try to get into a habit of! I never have the best luck with keeping goals and getting through all of them!

Do you have a word of the year?

This is something that I started and maybe four years ago or something. Every year that I do it I find it more and more powerful. It’s really a crazy thing! Just how a word can have such an influence on your entire year. And so this year I really put some thought into my word because it truly was a very impacted thing on my life last year.

Last year, my word was believe! I have too believe it was meant to be, I have too believe that it happened for a reason, I have too believe that it was going to be okay. I have too believe that there was a silver lining to whatever was occurring. For that day, that week, that month! It was a crazy year last year and, looking back at it now and all the craziness that occurred through the year, I am even more happy that I picked that word believe!

This year in preparing for whatever 2021 may bring. Hahaha my word that I am picking well, I had four words that I was tossing back and forth because I just didn’t really know which one was going to be more influential!

So my word for 2021 is going to be strong! This word I have picked because 2021 is holding lots the stuff up in the air with me this year. This year I have to be strong, in all ways! Well, try to be! Strong mentality, emotionally and doesn’t want to be a little more physically strong! I need to do my projects and tasks strong this year! To give it my best effort to the end! I can be bad for not quite finishing!

There is many hope’s and goals but, there is lots of next chapters coming! With personal and business there is just lots of….next!

I am not the best one for setting goals for myself, but there is something that I am trying to form into better habits this year! I am trying to keep it simple this year with getting my habits better for drinking water, having stronger routines, I’m trying to get a little more ahead on the business side of my life, and I would love to try to find some time for me here in there through the here!

What about you?

Do you do New Year’s resolutions?

How do you do them how do you go about figuring out your goals and setting them? Make sure you leave your comment down below!

As 2021 is now but not knowing how much is 2020 is actually done, I am hoping for the best for 2021! I do know that it’s still not going to be an easy year, with everything that has been occurring plus stuff that’s still happening in all of our own personal lives, so, from my family to yours I would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and I hope you had a safe and wonderful New Year!

START TO HOLIDAY PREP!

Hi, good morning. Welcome to Classy Classics By Kandis. I hope you had a good week last week. We went through the laundry schedule. With homemade laundry detergent in my homemade laundry fabric softener!

How did your week go with your laundry?

Did you get a new laundry routine?

Do you have a good one in place?

I will leave a link to the blog at the end.

With November here, and Remembrance Day now over, the Christmas holidays can start. My rule was always that I would never start getting ready for Christmas until after Remembrance Day. Usually, it would be till after my son’s birthday, which is the 4th of Decembe, but this year he said we could do it early and I want Christmas to come. After discussion with the family and deciding that we can decorate early. I don’t usually have Christmas decorations up for his birthday, but why not incorporate Christmas into his 10th birthday?

Santa usually goes on a door or window, not this year!

All of a sudden on Facebook everywhere, I’ve seen everybody with their trees up. This is when I start getting a little antsy for Christmas. So, we then decided that we were going to start. It’s funny because when I start, we don’t start with a tree as a couple reasons for that, we do a real tree. Last year was the first year that we had a fake tree. We are not sure if we are going to do a fake tree or we’re going to go into the real tree again. We always do a real tree. It has become a family tradition that we were trying not to have to break.

START of the living ROOM!

So, when it comes to prepping for Christmas, my prepping is a little different. The first thing that I do to prep for Christmas is I make a new Christmas outline book. I did this one a couple years ago and I love it. It totally changed the way that I do Christmas plan and prep.

Just a easy cover as I’m not artistic

Everything is in one notebook it’s super easy and it’s just paper I put together. It is just as easy as can be and it’s also as cheap as can be. Both which is perfect for me at this time of year. In my book I have everything in there that I kinda would need to keep me organized through the year.

My Christmas outline

As you can see, I have everything from where Christmas is going to be, cards, baking down to our budget for everybody! What I have ordered, what needs to be ordered and some gift ideas. There’s also a spot for orders that maybe still need to come in or that I still need to order. I’m not sure how Christmas shopping will go this year. And so, I wanted it done early this year as there may be problems with shipping not fast this year, even issues with just getting gifts from the stores.

So, I went to Amazon to do a Christmas order, one on wish… my first time! We are getting ready to go to the city this weekend, I actually got a babysitter whoop whoop, hubby and myself are going to go hit up a city and try to get as much Christmas shopping as we can done.

one of a couple boxes coming in lol

Then if I need to place another order, hopefully I will have time to place one more order probably through Amazon because they are the quickest and easiest way to track my orders.

So, after my Christmas book is ready and my nerves get a little easier. Knowing that it’s still just the middle of November and I have lots of time, I then go and started pulling boxes. I have a crawl space upstairs; I am thankfully to have a spot I to put all of my Christmas decorations in to. So, my oldest son and me started pulling boxes, we got to start seeing where stuff was going to go.

I am taking a bit to get my decorating done, I’m really excited this year to get the hot chocolate and coffee station set-up. I think this will be a nicer set up to with the kids being at home. I tend to usually not always like it because then all they want to do is drink hot chocolate, however when it comes to this year and the craziness and all the uncertainty still, I am being more like come on kid if you want hot chocolate, go do some outside chores and come on in and have some hot chocolate. Haha.

I think that’s almost something that I am being more excited about is that my kids are home this year and they get to be here all day to enjoy the Christmas beautifulness. This might make it a little harder to do some of my prep and to keep stuff, I might have to hide them a little more, but I think it’ll be really good for all of us to be home.

With the early Christmas decorations have you started decorating for Christmas yet?

How do you start?

What is your step 1 and what you do for Holiday prep?

Another thing that I do is I do a local cookie giveaway. I used to do Christmas trays all the time, however it got a little hard to give out. So, with that I started doing a fun little Christmas giveaway. With some Christmas questions and just some Christmas fun for the community, fun for a dozen cookies, I still have a couple trays that I do give away, but not like I used to.

With this one of the next things that I do is I’m going to sit down and figure out my Christmas baking what cookies and desserts I need to prep for! Trying to get any of my groceries that are needing to come, with one haul right before Christmas. With this I tend to do too many cookies and I feel like I might have to back it off a little this year with not having as many, gatherings and visitors this Christmas season there is always some staple cookies that needs to be done. And so, no matter what there is lots of cookies and treats in this house for the Christmas season. With that I will be getting a list going and I will of coarse share oh so many yummy Christmas cookie recipes with you.

Do you do Christmas baking?

What is your favourite Christmas cookie?

I usually will make my cookies, decorate them depending on what kind of cookie, get them all completely done then I put them in the freezer. This way when we’re leaving a cookie tray or when the kids needs another round of cookies, we can just pull them out of the freezer and put them into the cookie jar.

As far as our stocking stuffers go, it’s so pricey all the time. I never know what to do, I tend to use the Dollar Tree and dollar stores for that stuff. This year will not be different. I never quite know what to put in the stocking’s and its always staple stuff that I put in so that it’s an easier thing. They always of course of cute little knick-knacks.Every year they do get body wash, new toothbrush, toothpaste, loofah, bubble bath, stuff like that! Bathroom stuff that they don’t always like to share, also my 2 oldest are boy and girl, so being able to give separate items is needed and an easy way to fill some stocking!

Usually, every year I will have my budget completely done before I even start putting an order in, but this year with the uncertainty of it all I really just picked some items, I will do a better layout before I hit the city tho! I am determined to get as much as I can done early like I say this because with my luck I would go to go do my Christmas shopping, and that city would shut down. LOL, this is just my luck of 2020, this is also why I said I wanted to have as much shopping as I could done, as early as I could so that I had time to still go and get what was needed without running around trying to find it and ended up spending a fortune on something that shouldn’t be that much.

It’s going to be such a fun holiday season on the blog. I hope you will join in on the Christmas spirit here. If you are liking holiday blogs, go ahead and give it a like. And make sure that you are signed up to follow the blog by adding an email you will get a notification of when I upload a new blog.

New blog usually come over on Monday I am trying to keep it once a week, I was debating about trying to do more for Christmas these ladies that can do the blog-mas as you are amazing kudos to you!

Growing A Garden!

Love making flower arrangments in pots for around the steps and deck!

Hello and good morning!

The birds have been singing, the sun is getting warmer, most importantly the snow is gone, for the most part! This is a wonderful thing, I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and winters last FOREVER here! This all means it’s time to gtebplanning and preparing the garden!

This year will prove to be more as I am starting a new garden! A new area, new spot, means new work! I also didn’t have the same set up and my 2 youngest sure didn’t help the plants tarting! There is still time and needing to purpases this year more then normal may be a good thing in a couple ways! This will not be my last garden but it will be my first for the new one!

I have been gardening for over 10 years now, and I tell ya it’s not quite like just putting a seed into the ground, then coming around and eating and harvesting. Well for most garden plants that is not the case! That is the short vission, I have learned there is deffently more to it.

When I get ready to start some plants I start in February and March! It takes months of prepping for some, but all worth in the end… I think anyways!

Let me start with me! Hi and welcome to Classy Classic’s By Kandis I’m Kandis! I am a mom of 4 kid’s age from 11 to 1 year old. I have been married for almost 14 years, I have been a stay at home mom since our daughter came into our world in 2009. I had tempted my first garden in 2008 and it was a massive flop. Like I don’t even count that year as having a garden lol.

Do you garden?

What do you grow?

Do you prestart your seeds, or use nurseries?

Where to start?

What to start first?

How to get them started?

Let’s get some answers to some questions, let’s save time and so much money!

Where to start!

The first thing you actually need to figure out is where and/or what kind of garden you are going to have?

Is it going to be a in ground Garden? Is it done, by this is it worked up, does it have good sun coverage one it?

Is a raised garden what you into? Have spots picked out? How many beds are you doing? How are they being built and/or delivered?

NEXT

What are you planting? Make a list and figure out what you are wanting to grow! This step is when you need to also figure out if you are starting all your own seeds or are you buying for a green house or maybe both!

Start the ones you need! When it comes to growing, not everything takes the same time. Depending on where you live also depends on how much extra growing time you need. Saskatchewan gardening will be much different then if you live in B.C lol. Some plants will take almost months longer then some others. When I start cantaloupe it is so much earlier then say lettuce that is seeded right into the ground! So get your list and seeds of what you are going to pre start.

STARTING YOUR SEEDS

There is all sorts of ways to start seeds! There is so many products out there but they do add up fast. Thought out the winter I will save my plastic fruit containers, some egg cartons and some milk jugs and cartons. These are all things I reuse when starting my garden seasons.

HOW TO PRE START YOUR SEEDS

Seeds are little and finicky, as I feel I need to do better, as my plants come and go as I try to start them! When it comes to space for light, with an area that little a ones can’t get at, it can be hard to do as a tell lol. So back to starting seeds! I like to start mine in cut divided egg cartons. Simply cut out each egg square, place them in the container you are choosing. Like I said I like using plastic fruit containers they make mini green houses! What ever you are using simply add dirt wet slightly, put seed on top and lightly cover with dirt! Water again and place them in a sunny warm spot! Over the next couple weeks, keep them watered and warm and watch them grow!

TRANSPLANTING

When you start your seedlings in a mini green house, or any starter, you will need to transplant them into a bigger pot till time to go into the ground. This step is why I like to use cut egg cartons, as the little roots and streams are very weak, using the method keeps them protected. Simply take the whole plant and egg carton out, with dirt in the bottom of your bigger pot place the carton and plant and place it in the pot. Add dirt to cover most of the stem. Then conitue on watering and keeping warm. You may need to transplant one more time if the pot is not of size to support the plant depending on your gardening time. Here in Saskatchewan we are now more accustomed to not having out gardens in till the first week of June!

PLANTING IN THR GROUND

When the frost is gone, and your ground is worked up and ready it’s time to plant and transplant into the ground. I like to have my rows marked and drenched. This just makes placing easier and quicker.

When plants need to be transplanted into the ground, simply make a hole, about the size of the pot, making it a little, deeper to make sure the stem can be covered. Not all the stem, however most plants the stem as it grows becomes the root base!

When it comes to sowing directly into the ground. Simply trench your row, spread your seeds into the row and cover! Lightly water the garden after, you do you meant to drench it as the seeds can actually get moved or washed out. In some cases the seeds may get to wet and crush.

OVER LOOK

Gardening can be such a fun time, with some hard work and love it can be an addicting hobby. Let’s quickly overlook the steps

1: get your garden space picked and prepared. Whether you are doing in ground or raised beds, get them ready.

2: make a list of paints you would like to grow

3: get your seeds and material if you are prestarting

4: start any seeds that require extra grow time

5: transplant, purchase, your almost ready to plant plants

6: make and trench your rows

7: plant your garden

8: keep weeds down, water regularly, pick as ready

This is my steps when it comes to preparing for a garden. I hope you enjoyed the garden blog, I look forward to planting my garden every year. Whether it’s because it means we are busting out of the house from the long Saskatchewan winter, or because I truly love growing my own food. Make sure you like the post, so I can do more on gardens.

If you do not follow go ahead and follow me for notice on new blogs.

Till next blog, have a great day, amazing weekend and a productive week!

Look For The Silver Lining!

When A door closes a window will open!

There Is a silver lining in ever dark cloud!

There is supposed to be a positive with every negative!

It can be hard to seen with everything going on around the world!

The after effects of everything will be another factor into the look for the silver lining I think!

How are you doing through all the covid-19 craziness?

Do you know work from home?

What are you doing for Easter weekend?

With being at home now, and limited access to Easter stuff I better think of something! I have 4 kids, ages 11,9,3 and 1, so the variety of goodies can be a challenge. I always procrastinate and I did it again. I’ll post on my social media pages on what I put together!

As the days are turning into weeks, and months of covid-19!

There is so much still happening, but it’s in our homes, with our family. Not at work with our work family, then home to our family.

Everywhere I go I hear ” I’m so bored at home, all I have is time!”

This is not the case for me! I don’t know if I’m not doing something right? Cause I am more busy now then I was before lol.

Let’s find the silver lining?

Yes!

I am more busy, there is 4 kids and a husband here I will point out. Now the funny thing is it’s just the older kid’s not in school that is different right now! Home lessons are not a problem, I had stuff on hand and with working with, my kids for years with doing some work at home, as I am the mom that will keep up light schooling on holidays and through the summer months.

The younger ones are home anyways these days, I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

Our routines have stayed somewhat the same! I think this is something that is making my ancy. I had not got my routines as smooth as I would like. We had some crazy changes I our lives in 2019, and then we get handed 2020.

My routines are out and like a roller coaster, making it hard for me to get my head in a smooth routine.

Silver Lining here is there is always room to improve.

Why not try to figure out routines that will work for everyone. To help with this I made up a quick little hourly layout. Every morning when I sit down with my planner I am trying to get an outline on the day.

My planner! A happy planner, classic size!

This way if anyone is a deer stuck in a headlight they can look at the hourly and see what we are trying to get done that hour.

Quick hourly layout after my planner but still with coffee!

Something I should point about myself is I try to take on everything! “I can do it all,” is what I say. However I can’t do it all, then I just get upset with myself, which is silly as I know I can’t do it all, so why do I keep trying to do it all?

This week I wanted to start my workouts again! Good for me right! Well I feel this is where I will point out, that there is at least one kid up usually a little one by 6:30am. I don’t get everyone in bed till at least 9:30 pm. This has made it oh so hard.

With still having my morning, noon and evening in place, there is really no place for a workout. It is not fun trying to work out with little kids. It’s just not,  especially when you are trying to get your grrr out from then day, have a couple thoughts, maybe class it as me time! Not easy when a kid is climbing on me, playing with my weights etc.

So how to get the silver lining. I just thought I would get up a little early and have some me time, do a workout and then have the kids ups!! Thunderstorm came in, I was getting up at 5:30ish and trying to get my workout in by 6 to be done for 630! Nope, sure not working, some days just getting up, and motivated that early and fast, I couldnt fully focus as I am on a time line, if I slept in I was instantly hit with anxeity cause now my morning is out.

So look at it in a different light. I’m going to try a quick 10 minute workout, at some point of the day, it’s only 10 minutes which is easier to put in to start!

The other night I decided I need to be happier and we deserve better memories through this world pandemic!

I have decided on a new routine for us! With my planner and an hourly layout, there is sliver linings to all the obstacles.

My main planner❤kids school planner and an hourly layout

I am more focused now then ever to get everyone a smooth system, there is lots of together time and emotions can come quicker then normal. A good routine I’m hoping will make everyone calmer.

I had also decided the other night I’m not trying to do it all! I need to shake it off and get everyone taken care of before the “extras” come in! These “extras” are the ” I can do everything.” I want to have good family memories from this, not mad, difficult times!

This has been my wall paper for years on my computer!

How are you doing with the new life style we are in right now?

Weekly prep

Prep some now to save time later!

Sunday!

That’s the day I use! The day of rest is my day to set up! One day out of the week, I use to see how much in can prep to make a smooth week!

There is always so much going on in the week!

Kids have school, hubby is on the road, kids have activities! 😥

Then there is still meals, laundry, homework, and never ending cleaning!

How as a mom, are we too do it all! 24 hours 7 days a week, there is always something to do.

“Take time for yourself, do what makes you happy”!

How?

There is so much on the go, with no finish line.

How to get that 5 minutes let alone 30 minutes for a rest?

This is where my weekly reset or prep day come in very nice. One day, I will just try! Hit the ground running and do it.

What do I do in that one day that makes a difference for at least Monday to Friday?

I will let you in on some task that I find really help set me up for a smoother week.

Sundays roll around and it’s becoming a habit, which is nice! It didn’t come over night, and I fell out of it fast, with a hard climb back up to it, with lots of room for improvement. However progress not protection I guess, right?

Sundays are always a nice chill at day anyways so why not set up the week. With this I mean tasks that will just give me those couple minutes through the week.

So let’s go through this day, shall we!

I always try to get the kids snacks ready for the week. Fruit and vegetables washed, and chopped, in a container to the fridge for easy access. Bread gets sliced as I make our bread! Sandwich stuff gets prepped like cheese sliced, lettuse washed and bag ect.

Carrot sticks, tossed salad and peppers this week!

Treats being made this day for the week, if there is time to make one. Not every week this one gets done!

I will get the floors done if they didn’t get done Saturday (which they usually don’t). This will be sweeping or vaccuming the main floor, and mopping with the mop and pail. I do this so throught out the week I can use my spray push mop.

Being able to use the speay mop throughout the week is great!

Kids backpacks get ready making sure all papers are looked over and back in.

Sundays are dump day, so all garbage gets gathered and out the door.

Everyone has a shower or bath to get ready for school, I am working on bathing the little ones on Mondays now tho.

Meal planning for the weeks gets at least started if not all figured and written out.

Getting back into meal planning one week at a time!

I will try to pull some of the meat out and onto a cookie sheet into the fridge so it can be unthawing at a slow speed.

As I am trying to get back into my workouts Sundays use to be and hopefully back to stretch day!

I try to get the kid’s to bed a little earlier as Mondays are hard lol. I will also try to make sure my evening routine is done that night, there is something about waking up to a fairly tidy house, and clean kitchen that is addicting! Especially on a monday morning!

Not perfect but still nice!

I aim to have this my night if not done already to sit down and set up my planner for the following week! A well planned and prepped week can make a big difference for myself!

I am loving the Febuary love, fun pretty look! 😍

What about you?

How do you set your week up?

One day?

Each night?

Do you prep for days, or day to day?

Let me know how you aim to make your week smoother?

I always try to do something the night before, that I will thank myself for the next day!

Sundays keep staying busy, with all 4 kiddos need to stuff prepped and gathered! This can eat up most of the evening, especially if mama is planning a shower as there needs enough time for me too have hot water, but not be at midnight lol!

Well, that about sums up how my Sunday’s go.

Do you prep form the week?

What day works for you?

Let’s get the ideas going, if we can safe 5 minutes, it’s worth it all!

Till next week have a great day, productive week and an amazing set up!

Road Food!

Mom I’m hungry! Mom I’m thirsty! Mom they won’t share! Mom they drank it all! Mom Mom Mom!

It doesn’t seem to matter where you are or what they are doing the name mom gets thrown around like a frisbee at a dog park always going in circles!

Then to make everyone happy, but keep everything even and fair is almost as easy as trying to go to the bathroom by your self! Hahaha.

Kids are always needing something, and trying to get fast food when your out and about gets pricey! We can drop $60.00 no problem to feed everyone doing fast food!

That is crazy, you know what I could purchase and make from a grocery store more than a burger and fries that’s for sure!

Hi I’m  Kandis I am a stay at home mom for the last 10 years, with 4 children now and I am no stranger in snack attacks!

With summer break here and we are on the road oh so much I thought I would share some tips and tricks I have picked up along the way to pack some food for in the car to save time and money!

Where to start, this year I have a couple things up my sleeve to make things even easier on me.

I have some paper clip together bowls that I got from a dollar store, and I have some baseball hotdog holders also from the dollar store.
These allow it to be easier to hand out food, vs throwing it to them.

There is also their goody bags that each child gets and is located in their drive time bag!
These are snacks that are prepped and divided the night before.
Depending on how long we are done for depends on what is in the bag.
Usually there will always be friut, veggies, sandwich, treat and a drink. They also of coarse have a water bottle they take.

Then I keep the bought goodies or more favored goodes closer to me that would get handed out in the containers.
This will save so much in money, fighting and continued mom I’m hungry  mom I’m thirsty, mom, mom, mom!

How do you handle food on long car rides?
Do you pack stuff, or use it as a special lunch time?
Let me know!

With having a packed lunch located in their drive time bag the kids know that they can eat it as fast or slow as they wish, however when the food is gone in the drive time bag, that’s it for on your own food.

Hope you enjoyed this blog let me know if you liked ito, as I have more on the road tips and tricks!

It’s Already Packed!

Hi and good morning welcome to Classy Classic’s By Kandis! I am excited to have you here today for this new blog!
For those who don’t know me I’m Kandis a stay at home mom and wife! I have been married for 11 years this summer and have 4 wonderful energetic children ranging from the ages of 10 to 6 months old!

There is always something to do, something to pack or prep. With summer break on we tend to be the family that will at random times decide to go somewhere off to the lake, or a drive or take off the next day to I dunno some city for some appointment or meeting or task!

This means packing all the time, or be prepared for that spir of the moment decision. With 4 kiddos there is lots that needs to be remembered.

With the older ones they are capable of taking care of most of their stuff…. or you would think so haha. There is always something that is forgotten, or shoved somewhere that can not be located.

There is diapers, wipes, food, drinks, stuff to do in the van, etc.
With all the “stuff” it so easy to forget.

So let’s start with don’t forget to hit that follow button for all the upcoming blogs this 2019 summer has in store.

Now then, let’s get started on this week’s blog! I find it can be easier on my mind and emotions for that matter to be a step ahead haha, or at least try for it.
When it comes to having so much as a nessesety to take what I can have already packed and ready to go the better!

This is items like the diaper bag, this stays in the van, as it will not freeze.
Couple little toys stay for the toddler, a pair of shoes and the snuggly for the baby is always located in there also right now.

As far as the big kids go I’m working on getting baskets for in the car under the seats that will hold some car entertainment but till then, they pack a drive time bag for themselves.
This way they picked what they would like for that trip at the time.

I always have some napkins in the van, with folding party bowls, a couple plastic utensils for monitoring snacks.
I recently purchased a car vaccuum which I’m more excited to try then one should be lol.

Along with a blanket or 2, bug spray, collapsible reusable bags.
These are all things that are always in there so I don’t have to think about them.

With summer break going a little different my beach bag and summer adventure bag is not done yet, however when it gets loaded I’ll keep you posted.

Quick talk tho this would include items such as towels, extra clothes, first aid items, some change, wipes and a couple cheap toys. Just a good go to adventure bag.
More about that on the other pages in the near future.

What do you keep packed in your vehicle for the summer holiday fun! Let me know in the comments below or on one of the social media pages.

Stay tuned for more on the go summer ideas coming this summer!

Snack Attack!

Have you ever wondered where all the food goes! How do the kids eat so much?

Why do prices go up in the summer for snacks and drinks?
Do they really need to eat every 10 minutes, and how did $100 of snacks disappear?

Hi there and welcome to Classy Classic’s By Kandis, we are going to talk about feeding those kids through the summer break!
As a mom of 4 kids we go through a lot of food here, like a lot of food. I have a couple tricks up my sleeve to make those snacks and back yard picnics go smooth as you juggle everyday life along with summer fun.

I have make a schedule at my house to make sure the kids are fed and watered but, still eat healthy and not just eats the expensive snacks that don’t fill them up for more then 5 minutes.

I have a rule that if its in a wrapper say gold fish packs, fruit by the foot, granola bars etc.. they are car treats and not to be eaten at home!
Summer is so fast paste the last thing you want to worry about is cooking 3 meals a day, plus snacks and treats.

The first thing I will say is freezer meals are a life saver in the summer. With so many options you can go to any back yard bbq and already be prepared for it.

Some of my meals I am hoping to prep as I should of stated already but havnt lol is…. egg wraps, waffles, pizza bites, burgers, twice baked potatoes, taco meat, spaghetti bake, perogies, chilli, muffins, cookie dough logs, rice crispy and brownies.
Look g
These are some ideas that I’m hoping to get into my freezer, to have on hand for any thing that summer may throw my way!

The schedule that I have is made out so the kids are still eating every couple hours, however I can know that it is not out of boardness, and they are eating healthy.

I have times so that the kids won’t be eating right before a meal, they are not gone all day, and they have that little sit and rest periods, even just 5 minutes.😂 Let’s start shall we?

As everyday breakfast this is harder to time but usually between 7:00 and 8:30 would be a safe bet! Yes?
The first snack is set for 10-10:30, lunch around noon.
Afternoon snack is set around 3 to 4 they get an hour to be flexible for play time and naps for the little one.
Then supper between 6:00 and 7:00 pm, snack or treat at 8:00 pm with the last bedtime snack not past 10 pm for movie time.

I aim to have the big kids in bed around 10:00pm. Now let’s look at what they get?

Their morning snack is fruit, veggies and or dairy.
Afternoon snack is fruit, veggies and a pantry snack.
The8 pm snack is fruit with a treat of the day this is where the freezer treats come in handy so they are not going to the store.
Then the late movie bedtime snack for the big kids could be say popcorn or something light.

This way I can prep a big thing of fruit and veggies for them to tackle over the day, sweets are limited and my rule also is if it’s in a wrapper it’s not for at home.

The wrapper goods that tend to run more money… for some reason or another are for on the road or away fun, make day, hiking, park fun etc!
So there you have it!

This is how I tackle summer eating, and ensure they are eating more healthy and less sugar on those hot days.

Let me know if you liked this blog.
I have fun posts coming this summer that I hope we can share our ways to beat summer boredom eating.
What do you do for food in the summer?
Do you have certain snacks?
Do you do a daily snack bucket for the kid’s?
This is where each kid gets a basket and gets filled each morning, it’s for the day and is up to them how fast they eat it all!
I would love to hear how you roll with snacks!

Till next blog when we tackle more summer fun, have a fun, healthy eating day!
