❤Valentine’s Day Cards❤

Things sure have changed these days when it comes to Valentine cards! They are not cheap and not what they use to be, what do you think?
This year the kiddos are making the cards for their class! The nice thing about this is that they are super excited about doing it, and we don’t need to come up with a bunch crazy saying (which are not always easy for me), with these Valentine card’s they are just cut, glue and write!
This year I found a couple choices. There were 3 different cards choices, there was a bear with the saying “- I Hope You Have A Bear-y Happy Valentine’s Day,
Spinning heart which I wrote “I Hope You Have A Spinning Valentine’s Day.
Last was a knock knock joke. This has 2 googly eyes and reads:
Knock,Knock,Who’s There
Eyes
Eyes Who
Eye Wanted To Say Happy Valentine’s day.
They were fun to make with the kid’s, I ended up doing extra prep as I just used computer paper and traced out and cut out all the parts because, I ran out of construction paper, and I don’t have a printer. This is why there is some white bears which we said were polar bears. 😂
This was absolutely a fun, inexpensive way to do some unique, fun Valentine cards. These were found right on Pinterest I’ll leave the links below, for you to check them out! I believe they were or some were printable!
Also let me know what did you do for Valentine card’s this year? Did you buy some, have some on hand or make them? We had some bought ones on hand from last year but there wasn’t enough, so both kids are taking the diy ones!👌 Which I think are absolutely adorable!
Hope you find some motivation to have fun and save some money on cards this Valentine’s Day!

The pictures are the supplies or cut outs, then what they look like after. The knock knock one has paper on it just to cover names! Of coarse they all used glue- white glue is what I used and for the spinning hearts we used a hot glue gun to secure it to the paper!❤

Can You Feel The LOVE!❤

Hi there, and welcome to It’s A Mom Life!
Valentine’s day is always a busy time here in my house, as my oldest kid was born on Valentine’s day and being my only daughter out of 4 kids, that is a very special thing! So, I have always tried to amp things up a bit, however it’s not like things are always a good deal for this materialistic day!
So with all that I try to find new ideas and diy projects that we can do together in the house. Crafts can go a long way for quality time, and the can be displayed as decorations around the house.
I also try to do something that they will find special for them. This year I had seen a lot of buzz about hearts on the door stating what the parent finds special about the child! I figured I would give it a try, and the outcome as been awesome!
My daughter is a little more in it, then my son, as I am only writhing for the two older children that can read!
I have pre cut out hearts so all I need to do is the writting! With this every night or morning I tape a heart saying what is unique and/or special about each child, and they look forward to reading the new heart to feel that “love”.
This is how it is going and what the out come looks like! They share a bedroom right now so, I have each kid’s heart on different sides of the door! I will continue to add a heart each day of February!
What do you do for your kids on Valentine’s day, do you get them something for that day or do special stuff through out the month? Let me know how you roll and what fun things you do!

Week 2 fill up challenge😁

Hello, how did our first week go? Did you get your inventory done,or just organize your food items?
This week’s challenge is called fill in because, just as it sounds you will get your main meal plan figured out, then use as little fill ins as you can example, use rice and frozen veggies for a big stir fry vs say meat and veggies. Try to use any left overs for as big of batch’s as you can, this is a great way to get meals in the freezer. Aim for more comfort basic foods, I find you can make stretch farther.
This should cut down the grocery bill by more the you would think. Here is a 2 week meal plan I did up for us, also some lunches are not filled in because the older kid’s are in school, so there is less required for the younger one! 🤗
Hope you have fun with this and be open minded when it comes to your meals!
Till next week for the third challenge have a great money saving week, with this challenge😁❤

Love What You Have

Well as February rolls in let’s think about loving what we have, Yes! This month it is going to be all about that… Loving and using what we have. This means less shopping and more saving. To kick it off as the first challenge it is going to be organize and priorarize your stuff… Stuff like food items/ meal plannin and bill organizing. Sounds easy enough.. Right?
So first thing first, figure out if you are going to use good old pen and paper or a spread sheet on your computer? Got your Stuff? Now let’s start.
Let’s start with bills, figure out what needs to be paid and when with how much, this way you will know what you have to work with and what you have left.
Next, we are going to organize our food and what we have on hand. With this you can make an inventory list, this will come in handy when you are getting ready to meal plan. With the inventory it can be written or typed or with a dry erase marker written right on the side or side of the freezer!
With this step as what I find one of the biggest steps done you can gather a meal plan for the week! Only the week and buy only essentials if any! This is because of next week’s challenge which will…. Meal plan and fill ins!!
So come, try the first challenge of February of organize and priorarize😁 and have fun with it and be creative!!
Come back through the week for other fun ideas!❤ Make sure to share any ideas or questions in the comments below!!
