WHY I STARTED BLOGGING!

Hi, good morning welcome to Classic Classics By Kandis!

I am so excited to have you do today, and for you to following the blog, or coming to hang out whatever brought you here!

How was your week?

Did you read the blog about the Sunday prep day?

Did you get motivated to get a prep day into your week? I will leave a link for that log Down Below in case you didn’t get a chance to read it! I love my weekly reset and I don’t know what my week would look like if I didn’t at least attempt one!

SUNDAY PREP RESET MY THE WEEK!

I had a different blog for this week, but then life really, really, really happened and I kind of got stuck, I was going to just skip this week, and work on something else, just kind of wait it out till you know next week comes and I have a full blog to put out!

Then I realized it doesn’t matter what I blog about any blogs that I put up is a full blog.

I thought that I would take this blog too be able to say hi and welcome to my page!

I had recently hit 50 likes on my blog page and I was so proud! All I could think was wow I have to say thank you to everybody who has helped me hit that goal! I realize that I started this blog and then I had switched blog sites, and I have a lot of new people that are following me and I love you all for that!

I wanted to come and say hi and just give you some information about myself and why I started a blog!

I was always really interested about the blogging world, after I had my third kid I had really started watching and diving into some YouTube videos, just has a way to try to get a handle on my life and my emotions! I had just started watching a few that would help me get a handle on getting my house in order, carrying the kids on routines without me feeling like an evil mom LOL!

I was trying to just see is there anybody out there that is feeling like me that is going through anything like? You know when I started watching YouTube videos I had started with Kim off of season her apron have you ever watched her? You should check check her out she’s a fantastic stay-at-home mom and I’ve watched her now for years, I also watch Jamerelle from large family table, Sam from happilyahousewife, Kathryn from do it on a dime, love Meg and of course I love catching a video from Jordan page!

There is a couple others that I have started following just kind of expanding some of my content of people that I enjoy watching, kind of depends on what I’m going through in my life at that time right!

I was watching these ladies for at least a year couple years, and I always thought it looks so intriguing to do something like this and to see them just kind of talk to us the followers as if we are there and bring us into their life and to give us all these motivation and inspiration for our different seasons of life if you will!

I will try to leave early some links to these ladies down below if I can figure it out hahaha if not I encourage you to go and find some on YouTube and check out some of their videos they are truly motivating!

So, back to the blog and why I started blogging and what I hope to get out of the page!

After I had my last kid he is now 2 years old, I had felt very alone and confused with how I should be dealing with it all as a mom!

Especially being a stay-at-home mom , I had been a stay-at-home mom for almost 10 years already and I knew that I knew what I was doing but, when you have all of your emotions from swirling in and you have all of the different you should be doing this and you should be doing that coming from either in your own head or from others it can make it hard!

And I will tell you this right now it should not be hard you should not feel defeated as a mother!

I realize that as a mom I will feel defeated, I will feel tired, I will feel emotionally drained and confused and go to bed almost every night with Mom Guilt!

This is when I have really decided to dive into the the mommy role and I wanted to share whatever tips and tricks and advice and confirms any of this. I had came across through the years and we’ll come across through the years I wanted to be a voice for moms I know that you don’t have to do it by yourself!

One of the sayings that I have for my page Classy Classics By Kandis is that moms are great we can do anything but, together we are unstoppable!

And I find that so so true because I know in our community, that when something gets hard when you look at what is happening you will see a strong pack of women! Also I’ve learned that a lot of people don’t like dealing with a pack mamas LOL!

That is kind of the main reason why I decided to just dive into blogging and until making my blog and facebook page that I did!

I was hoping to get positive vibes around me as much as I could and this blogging Community has showed me so many possibilities! I love the fact that I can learn something and help a different person and just even a small way!

With that I’m going to leave this log was saying thank you so much for everybody who has followed me! It really made me realize that I don’t want to get this out, I absolutely enjoy reaching out and blogging! I do hope you enjoyed this blog go ahead and give it like, I hope to have Classy Classics By Kandis grow through 2021!

Make sure you check out the Facebook and Instagram pages I will of course leave the links down below!

Have You Heard Of Monat!

With everything so crazy, trying to remember what is on my list when I go into the city to get groceries. Not to mention that only one person can going with one cart! Fine and dandy except before this all started I used to need two carts, that was just on the city grocery stock up. Now I need to think about what is going into the cart as I need to get everything in ONE cart.

If I can get it some where easier then why not leave the cart room for say all the jugs of milk we go through! Hi there am Kandis!

Welcome to CLASSY CLASSIC’S BY KANDIS. I am a mom of 4 children ages 11,9,3,and 1😥 lol. I have been married for over 11 years.

Not long ago I went in on a new goal, a new drive. I never was one to care or take care for that matter of my hair! My hair stays up in a pony tail or a mamma bun, I mean for DAYS, I don’t brush it much… like actually I’m the worst for hair care. I needed something a little better, I needed so edging that would care for me hair and skin for that matter when I’m neglecting it taking care of so many other. I then signed up for MONAT!

Not really knowing much, not really thinking it would change my life, everything deserves a chance right?

Then it happened, I learned I like it lol, I learned that it does help my hair, I learned that my hair likes the love lol. I decided to try to spread what I know no, on a product that is healthy for not only my hair, the environment, animals and actually my wallet.

Now I say it like this as when I first seen Monat, I felt it was over priced and money sucking!

Then I learned!

The bottles that my hubby and myself have been using lasted both of us… Ok 1 bottle of shampoo and 1 bottle of conditioner lasted us 3 MONTHS!

I only need a quarter size for my hair, my hubby uses roughly nickel size!

To point out short version style, I broke down the cost and a bottle is running us less then $6.50 a month or $13.00 for both a month!

THAT IS ACTUALLY CHRAPER THEN STORE BRANDS!

So if you want some cool, info I have outline what I found to be the base of what I wanted to know and what I felt people should know about product! Making A Difference!

Do you ever make goals!

Some so small they’re silly, some so big they’re silly!

Sitting in the house, making dream list’s, fun monthly goals, 10 year plans! The different thoughts of doing more.

They all come and go, in and out, some goals will stay as the coffee rebalances the day, the cranky kids are napping. The calm is there and I sit down and think how silly to think I can take more on or need more at that matter.

The youngest is at home for years still. The vision of being out of the house tends to fade when I do get out, society is not the same, as it was when I a teen and liked going out lol. Also way before the covid-19 came around!

So when people tell me just do what makes you happy, all I can do is smile and think I am, plus more of what I love.

What will I be doing when all the kids are in school, moving out, getting all grown up and stuff. As the years come and go, I have been a stay at home mom for 11 years already, some days it seems like that long, some days it seems not as long! As I had always wanted to be a stay at home mom, the realization of wanting to make a difference, help out with some things I can and love to do, everything just slowly is falling into place!

What goals am I chasing, and hoping to line in place?

When thoughts on what I could do at home, without taking me away or making me over crazy, I took on baking from my house.

This is something I love doing.

Over 10 years I have been making my own breads, pasta, meals, freezer meals, desserts and canned goods! Why not share the yumminess and expand learning more and more!

CANNED PEACHES!
Bread Dough Raising 😍

A couple years ago I decided to take the jump on cleaning and organizing.

This was my next passion, I love doing this, with helping people with their days, budgets, pantry and more. I point out that organizing is so much more then shoes and fridges!

My Organizing Certificate! I Add Also A Cleaning Expert!

I then thought as I had my last baby, I needed some communication in my life!

Through YouTube channels that I had fallen in love with I thought I would start a blog. This is still in the works as I’m growing and learning, with the help of others along the way.

I’m now starting one more journey, that started I in the beginning of March!

Had fun Working So Far In the training!
Being Part Of A Team! My Own Boss!

This one is through Monat! I wanted to have access to healthy products, and possibly make a couple bucks on the side! With the toxic free no added grossness as I say, I thought it would be a great adventure! I also get to work with my friend who had set me up!

The big picture for me here is that I have it all under a name (other then my monat), I got to stem from my first farmers market with my baking and a construction poster that read “Classy Classics By Kandis A pinch of grandma’s secret ingredient in every batch.”

What My business Sign Has Became Through The Hard Work!

With the different chapters I am excited for what it can and may become through the years with hard work still to come!

These are little goals sticking together to make a big dream!

What is your dreams/goals that you are following!

Has the crazy 2020 made it smaller, or just made you more determined?

Can you work with what is happening to make your dream still come?

We all need someone, and someone will need you!

Home Products I Love!

With the month of March here, with the eco friendly month I thought what better time then now.

When Sunday had come and go, we were doing our prep and stock in the house. I realized how much I love to make some of my products that I don’t think about anymore and just make.

Do You make cleaners or products?

These are great for so many different reasons.

They are better for the environment, our bodies and best of all the wallet.

How much the products cost to buy vs to make!

This alone makes it easier for me to want to make them.

I have been making these for years now with no thought or intention to buying them again.

The first product is all purpose cleaner! I can use this EVERYWHERE from counters, windows, walls, toilets to sticky spills, and messes from the children.

This sanatizes, cuts grease and cleans with only costing pennies.

Ready?

In a spray bottle mix vinegar and water! If you want add some essential oils to make it smell and bam your ready to clean!

All purpose cleaner!

If you have babies in diapers then you will know how much wipes cost! I am here to say there is a way cheaper and healthier to use.

Take selet a size paper towel, cut it in half! In a bowl combine 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of baby wash and about 1 1/2 – 2 cups hot water? Soak paper towel in the water mixture.

Wring out and if you would like unwrap in an accordion motion.Place in a zip-lock or air tight container, these are great, and will still work even if get forgot about and freezes in the car lol.

Baby Wipes with NO ALCOHOL

Another product that I have been making for a long time now is fabric softener! This is so easy and will save a ton.

Take an old fabric softener jug you will need:

  • 2 cups conditioner (any kind),
  • 3 cups of white vinegar, then
  • 6 cups of warm water.

Add all together then shake jug.

FABRIC SOFTENER for pennies!

Another product I want you too know about is my makeup remover face wipes. These are used with the same solution as the baby wipes. The only difference is less water!

Take about a cup of warm water with 1 tablespoon of baby wash and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Soak paper towel and slightly wring out!

I am in love with these makeup remover wipes, my face feels clean, with no tighness of hidden chemicals in the store bought. I have no intentions on going back to buying these!

MAKEUP REMOVER leaving your face feeling clean!

Next product my laundry detergent, I have been making for a long time now! This uses:

  • boarx
  • baking soda
  • arm and hammer laundry soap
  • oxy
  • sunlight bars (grated)
  • unstoppable beads
LAUNDRY DETERGENT LAST SO MUCH LONGER AND COSTS MUCH LESS!

How about homemade fabreeze, the kids don’t like the “real” product anymore lol, so to make this:

Take an old bottle or a spray bottle, mix baking soda, with essential oils with water shake before each use!

FABREEZE change the sent added help with the baking soda!

These products I have been making now for years! They have added so much “cleanness” in my house, added dollars to the bank account!

Do you make products?

What kind do you make?

These are just some of the products that we make in our house, I love making my own stuff, it’s nice knowing what is in them, and knowing how much I save is just as sweet as the frosting on a cake!

I would like to take this time to say these products are in detail with pictures in my other blogs.

Head over and have a read, or you can write me with any questions or comments on these!

I hope you enjoyed this blog for the eco month of March.

I Learned A Lot In 3 Weeks

Have you heard the expression “you can’t have your cake, and it it too”!
I have always been the type that says “watch me”, I’ll make it, bake it, and have it too! Lol
I always say “can do anything, give me 24 hours”. Anything can happen in 24 hours!

There is a actual reason why my friends said the doctor was a smart man, not putting me a boot. I will keep going, always something to do. Little by little, task by task it will all get done.

Here is a fun fact about me lol I have troubles focusing on one task. I have squirrel brain haha. I will be cleaning one spot, do the mistake of taking something to another room, to put away.p then see something and start tackling that. It can be hard to complete one task, and so it never feels like I got much done because I am so everywhere.

These week’s I have not be able to really do that. With not being able to just be on the go, bounce from here to there I had to be focused on the task at hand.
I had a goal to do at least one task a day, two if everything was going good, and they were not big tasks.

With needing to pace myself, but still needing to keep things even a little in order I set out and made a 2 week plan. Cleaning and food.
I could pick my couple tasks a day and roll with it. Needless to say I did good! I ended up pushing myself a couple times, but having to take a break and put my foot up, sure kept me in line haha.

My tasks were broke up instead of having a zone that I would work in, I did a task for the day.
One day I cleaned my counters and deep cleaned behind all the stuff. The next day I vacuumed my floors, as I can not sweep, so I got on my butt and vacuumed haha.
Bathroom was a day, other then the tub as I can not clean it yet.
This was how I tried to keep the grossness down as much as I could.

These 3 weeks that I had crutches was sure a learning curve for not only me, but the whole house!
I could not just do it for everyone, some tasks where just left undone.
What kind of tasks you may ask?

A good example is:
My 10 year old informed me she was out of socks! I asked her
“Ok, so what should, be done”?
Her response ” I need to wait” 🤔
Oh wait for what….. broke foot or not they are required to simply bring down their dirty clothes. So why is it when I have a cast they feel they now need to wait. I would not of been the one to bring down the dirty clothes anyways!

Kids I tell you lol.

I have learnt that it is ok, to have some stuff out till later, it’s ok to let the floors go for  a little.
Those little snuggles are only here for a bit, as the dirty floors truly are not going anywhere!

Those milestones that come and go daily is a true gift!

Dawsyn the baby stared to crawl…. EVERYWHERE and that was a special thing to be on the floor with him, also sitting up by him self! He loves trucks, and animals, and crumbs haha. 😩😅

Masyn the toddler, loves to read….. in the morning more then any other time of the day. He loves to give hugs and jump on pillow piles, vaccuming and of coarse eating. He eats so much tho!

Valary and Dysyn my big kids, love to cook, just not clean up haha. They love to play with the little ones, and to read to everyone!

I have learnt so much, about being able to sit, and relax as I really am not one to stop.

The house can be done little by little, and it’s ok.

This is all things that I thought I knew before, however it took having too just sit to fully realize and accept it!

I guess everything does happen for a reason! It may take time to see that reason, but in the end it was how those cards were actually supposed to be delt!

I have a goal now more then ever to take the time for my whole family, just like everything one at a time. Each person needs some time, a hug, a kiss or just a simple I love you from time to time!

In the end everything will work out. I hope everything will line up in your house, your world and in your stars. I hope you enjoyed this blog. I will of coarse keep you updated on the foot, house, and take you along as things start to slowly get back to normal, with the exception on those extra snuggle times, extra couch sits, extra mamma time.

One Week Update Who Won Doctor or Mamma!

Might need to add silver!

Good Morning everyone how are we today? Welcome to CLASSY CLASSIC’S BY KANDIS. I hope you had a great week! Fall is officially here. Leaves are changing, morning are frosty, birds are not singing happy warm songs!

October is one of my favorite months! There is something about me for you! The air is crisp the scenery is so beautiful. My husband’s birthday is the beginning of the month, thanksgiving and Halloween. There is so much fun in October!
I love reasons to theme anything, to have a big gathering. Nothing beats a bbq and drinks with friends!

So how is the foot you ask?
September 25th I headed into the doctors bright and early. I got told I broke my foot!
If you haven’t had the chance to read it go have a boo. It’s All I Wanted Was A Shower! So a week went by with mommy on the couch probably not as much as I should of but still lots…. especially for me! Healing food, and rest we set off for the healing week.

What did the doctor have to say when I went in? I was told it could be 6 weeks to the end! I informed the doctor that his time frame would not work for me 🙅‍♀️ and it had to be faster lol. Did he listen?
On October 2nd, yap my hubbys birthday we head into the hospital for an 8 am appointment! Heading out the door by 6:30 to make the drive and get in.

A fun fact is that I have been with my doctor for many years! At least 20 years… don’t even know how long. With this he knows me very well. This can be a good thing and a bad thing.

Morning went pretty good out the door and to the hospital. Doctor came in pressed and poked my foot. It is still bruised and a bit swollen. He first said to put me in a boot. My response arms in the air yeah yes let’s do it. Then he changed his mind.🙁

Into a cast for 2 week’s.
Why you may ask? He proceeded to say, I am going to do to much. I will carry the baby, walk around and power clean like everything is fine!
This is absolutely true I would of! If I don’t stay off of it, and rebreak it, it would set me back possibly up to 12 week’s!
“Do what you want, have the boot, hurt your foot and come back”! Yap this is my doctor and I love him. So I told him he sucks haha true story, he says it’s for my own good and he will see me in 2 weeks.

So with a matching out fit as I had a mental talk with myself the night before knowing it was a good chance that it was going to be a cast.
Pink and black with silver. My favourite color scheme, pink cast it was.

What to do now? How to do it all? Cleaning, lunches, prep, kid care just mom stuff!

I’m kicking it back and taking a mental day so I don’t have a break down. Playing and planning in my planner.

Remember: how do you get across the pond? One lily pad at a time! Don’t underestimate yourself but don’t over do it!

This is how I will make it through the next 2 weeks.
I have plans to try to do one task, at least one task a day.
Little by little it will get done.
As I am behind now on my goals and tasks, least fall is here. I don’t feel as bad about not getting outside as much.
I will get those little things done!

Make sure you hit that follow button for all the blogs and fun here on the blog.
I would also like to say thank you to everyone for all the wonderful wishes.

I want to know have you been stuck with a cast?
How did you manage? How did it all work out?

I will keep you updated on my tasks and how I’m doing it! Along with fun adventures with a hobbling mommy lol.

Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram under Kandis Blask and Facebook at classyclassicsbykandis for more day to day posts and updates!

Till next week, I hope you have a wonderful day, amazing week, and a productive list.

Foot up…kinda getting garden carrots and dishes done!
I did a post note and filled in each day as needed or seen able too!

Any body else have issues with dump spots?

Is just better in every way!

All I Wanted was A Shower!

I had my evening all planned out in my head! It was going to be great! Kids to bed, hang out with the hubby for a bit and shower followed by some planner time!

Sounds like a amazing night…. Right?

So what happened will blow your mind. I still can’t get over it and it’s making mommy a little ok a lot emotional!

Hi good morning and welcome to Classy Classic’s By Kandis. Oh the blog today is not what it was supposed to be! It was going to be that start to a beautiful 3 week layout of routines. Followed by a new updated block system.

Now I’m sitting on the couch with a stupid cast on, waiting for October 2nd to come. We are heading out at 6:30 am to head to the hospital to get my cast changed or possibly off and into the boot!

Yap mama fractured her foot!!!

How you may ask? Well I’ll tell you, you won’t believe it, I still hardly believe it myself.

Sitting on the bed about 9:30 all the kids are in bed, I always hang out for a bit before getting into the shower in case the baby gets up. Hoping for the best I did about 10 minutes in my planner and was just telling the my hubby I should get into the shower.

That is when Dawsyn the baby starting making noise. I know he’s 8 months I should be letting him cry for a bit, let him learn to go to sleep. Its hard for me sometimes.
So upstairs I go. Grab my baby sit on the chair, and nurse him as I get him back to at least lala land.

It has been almost impossible for me not to fall asleep getting him to bed, being all comfy and warm. So much love and comfort from the little one. That was a mistake this round! A big, big mistake!

All of a sudden I wake up, think to my self damnit all I wanted was to hang out with my husband and have a nice shower. I went and feel asleep again.
Baby asleep in my arms, I get up to get him to bed and go from there. Knowing I missed my whole night and not super happy with that. Still partly asleep I go!

Up we go, now the rocking chair is literally about 3 steps from the crib! That’s all 1 step 2 step 3 step done. Nope didn’t make it.

I get up 1 step, 2 step and that was it. As I stepped on my left foot, I felt it roll under me. The side with my pinky toe I feel my foot roll, and then the rest of my foot goes under to. A full step on my top of the foot. It was so painful, I caught myself, and took that 3rd step.
Can not believe still I didn’t drop the baby!

Got the baby in bed and yes he woke up slightly! He went back to sleep, trying not to cry, and wake him up, I knew something was bad!
Got downstairs, wanted a smoke but my foot hurt that bad! Into my bedroom I go, managed to get my pajamas on and into bed. Keeping on my socks as my foot was so sore already and oh so cold.

Husband is asleep, I crawl into bed. It hurt so bad, I was so cold and worried!
There is no way that I broke it! I keep telling myself it will be ok. I can’t believe I did that!
Why did I do that?
How is that supposed to happen?
Why on earth did my foot break?

It’s ok, it’s not broke! All I could tell myself as I try to fall asleep!

I hear the baby in the monitor, I sit up and it hurts still! I look at the clock it tells me it’s 4:30am!
Ok my foot will hurt I tell myself it only happened a couple hours ago! I get out of bed and start to cry. I drag my butt out.

Hubby gets up with me, he looks at my foot swelling, and I tell him what happened. Baby went quiet, and I try to get back to the bed. I make it to the foot of my bed sweating. I’m going to puke I say as he goes to get me a pot. Poor guy sure not what he expected I tell you.

“Your going to the doctors in the morning” he tells me! I laugh at him! Literally I did. How do you want me to go to the doctor with 2 kids when I can’t walk! Laying down the alarms start going off, as I’m up at 5:30am to get things ready for him to go to physio every morning.

Baby wakes up, he gets the baby for me which is not easy for him as he can’t bend his knee still from the accident! He brought me the baby and I lay down with him and nurse him as the three of us fall back to sleep.

It’s 7:45 Oh crap Derryck we have to get up. We are late as I start to panic again. He gets the kids up and brings me coffee tho!
“Where is mom, why are we late”! Kids don’t get why dad is there and I’m not. As he explains to them that mommy hurt herself and I’m in bed and heading to the doctor that morning.

Kids are off to school, I get things lined up to take the little ones to the city, Derryck calls the doctors and off we go.
My doctors is amazing and will always fit us in to see the doctors. They didn’t know what to think with him calling for me as its me that calls lol.

Off we go to the doctors he asked how I was my response ” freaking horrible, and yourself”. To the hospital for x-rays and a soft cast. Now I’m really mad. Who has time for this not me as my list of stuff to do is flying through my head!

Ok got in and done now to the foot doctor, he also asking how I was with the same response lol.
I broke the side of my foot right under where the little toe goes to the foot.
It’s not broke it’s fractured I corrected him, as it did not move shift nothing. Its not broke I keep telling him. He said I win that fight and he will let me go with that lol. Yeah me on that one.

One week I go back. 7 whole days with crutches and a mad mom. He says one week and the cast will go to a hard or into a walking boot. Well it’s the boot I tell him, we will cut this down by as many weeks as we can Yes! I was in and out with a cast in no time, tell the ladies I’m sending my hubby in to pay as I forgot my wallet. Have a little chit chat with how it’s not broke and cracked and I win that one also haha.

So there you have it. How my nice chill, me time night turned into at least a week of mommy on the couch, and mad.
Who brakes their foot putting a baby to bed? It happens more then I thought I also found out.

Thsts the story behind what i did. Stay tuned I will keep you updated on the healing. I will also share what I’m eating and doing or not doing the first week  with foods we are having trying to get this better fast.

Freezer Meals To The Rescue!👌Well That Was The Plan!!

Good morning and welcome to Classy Classic’s By Kandis! This past two weeks sure have been busy, with the not so nice August weather, trying to camp, while taking on a special secret mission it’s gotten busier then normal.

I have slipped on my meals and planning, while it really shows, I thought this would be the best time to eat down not only the fridge and pantry, but the freezers as well!

This week as it will be full steam ahead I thought I would share our meals being pulled from the freezer and either combined to make a meal or used as a meal! With being on the go it is mostly going to be suppers. There will some other meals, however breakfast and lunch are usually something pulled from the fridge or panrty.

I am down the two oldest for a couple more days, so it’s easy to feed the toddler.

So if your ready I’m ready let’s dive into this week’s meals, and what I can do from the lost world of the freezers! 😂❤

So lets start with good old monday! Masyn my toddler is on a dry cereal kick right now, so breakfast is taken care of lol. One morning we had Saskatoon berry waffles, from the freezer.

Anywho back to Monday. I had pulled a container of chilli out, put it into a pot of water up unthaw and off we went to work on our mission. This worked put great as we didn’t get home till after 6:00 pm!

Tuesday rolled around, as I was home that days, however not any slower I spent the day in the garden getting products picked. This turned into a busy day, with mommy stating to feel under the weather again ( I got a sinus infection/head cold) there was not much happening that evening. I decided to do chilli stuffed grilled cheese! We needed to use up the little left over chilli and it was the perfect quick and easy.

Sorry with no pictures as it got eaten faster and my brain power was slow lol.

Wednesday was a slower day as i was still under the weather, I had some garden stuff to get at to clean and prep, for drying and/ or bagged for the freezer. We had to run out and grab some stuff, so again we were not around till late. This one was a later night and not feeling good, and being the last nigth till the big kids got home we totally said screw it all and had…. Take out!!! Haha

This then leads to Thursday as I had some pork tenderloins to cut up and prep for the freezer from our local case lot sale, I thought how perfect and pork chops it is. So yes we had a much better supper that night, as all my kids were home again, we had pork chops, fries, (baby had potatoes), and some beans from the garden.

Then the last day Friday! We were in the city back to school shopping, so with nothing planned… again, it worked out, as the husband took the older kid’s to the camper for the night I had the little ones. So I made….. macaroni for the toddler. As he is soooooo emotionally tired these days I called it as a win. The baby had yummy left overs of his pork, and potatoes with beans, it was food enough for me. Haha.

It was a crazy week, that I’m still blurry of, and as you can tell forgetful as I don’t have much pictures of the meals.
However the week is over and I can say at least we ate haha.
It doesnt always matter if your meals are 100% perfect everyday.
Take the week and roll with it! Was it the best health week?
Haha absolutely not!
Did everyone have something to eat, and survived the week?

Why yes, yes we did. As I could of done better out of my hidden spots, life got crazy and I improvised!
Have you done this?
Do you get mom guilt from it?
I sure do sometimes but then I realize that it was only one week, and I can make it up next week.

It is all about balance some days, and making end meet, and knowing it’s ok, and it won’t be like that every week.
How did your week go?
Had awesome suppers, or pulled together to make it work?

Well That SUCKS!

Hello and good morning welcome to Its A Mom Life at classyclassicsbykandis.blogspot.com.
Today is Friday, and actually Friday! I would like to first apologize for my flakiness this week! I had realized I was a little distracted when I posted Thursday’s blog on Wednesday.
I thought it was Thursday for some reason, even tho I knew it wasn’t as the kids have activities on Wednesdays. So for this blog it will be a longer read as I need to explain and talk about some issues that has occurred in the last week. I will also point out I am starting to write this blog Wednesday, and it is posted Friday. I thought I should take a couple days to focus on this blog and explain some situations.
So where to start, I think we shall start with ummm how about where is my brain these days. We all get distracted from time to time, as our days change and our season turn. How ever my week has been hit harder then normal.
I am wrapping my brain power in the family right now. Yes, this is something that is always on the mind however, last week it went up to full overload.
Last week was a turning point on many levels, as my husband, and my self went to the city for a grocery run with the two little ones, as we do every month, we were faced with a different outcome.
My husband was involved in a accident that has now left him unable to work or help with the children. As he will be in a tough place for many months, I am working with companies, running the house, managing the kids, and trying to make him as comfortable as I can.
I am going to put my full force into this as I am so blessed to be able to wake up and have him here. It is a change with him here and not being able to help, and with him here and seeing what all goes on in a 24 hour period, as I am usually awake for 18 of those hours lol.
So my days have blurred never the less these last couple days. This was a week ago, so its just getting used the to routines and adjusting to that little extra ump that is required.
So why the off blogs?
So another thing I wanted to touch on was, as my brian is working hard to filter through all the categories that I have put in to it, I also just kept on going with everything thinking I could just squeeze more in with out dropping a ball that was already in play.
As I kept going with the blog, thinking of just getting them out as I am still very excited about this new journey things started to slip. The blogs were not as great I lost any pictures that I had ready for them, and I was just squeezing what time I had in the mornings to get them out. I will take this time to point out that my house starts moving at 7 am on a good day, and I am getting 2 out of 4 kids out the door for school. Needless to say mammas brian was slipping.
As I am trying to figure out how I want  my blog to work and what aspects I would like to bring to the page, I thought this would be a good time to slow it down.
With a  blank folder now 😭 I will use the silver lining to get through.
So I am without a doubt going to keep on trucking with my blog life, as this is something I have debated about for years and finally got the courage to do.
With this all said I will be posting still many times a week just maybe not 6 time, I will still be doing diy’s and meals, prep and money saving ideas especially since money will be tight, with the main worker out.
However I would like to change it up and see how it goes. I would like to try more of a in the life of type of blogs.
Instead of having days set of for specific topics it might be all in one or just one topic in one. I am aiming for a couple blogs a week still.
However I need to remember to take a step back and take care of my group and keep on swinging as life throws those balls my way.
Let me know in the comments down below if you have had a time where everything fell really fast?
Are you interested in the blog changes? I am excited to do these types of blogs, especially with summer coming!
I hope you will enjoy the new blog posts, and will continue this journey with me.
As a mother and a wife I can do it all, but like all it gets draining.
So let’s stick it out and stick together and have a awesome run with the new changes for IT’S A Mom Life.
Till next blog have a great day, and just keep moving. Remember March is almost done!
Have a great one from classyclassicsbykandis 😁❤🍵
