Funny How Its All Ok!

Hello everyone how are we today?
My week sure has turned around! It’s funny how little things can make or break it all or at least it seems like it.

With being sick a couple days and things not working how it should of makes this mama a little out of it. I realize girls are emotional but add being sick and lack of sleep on top of stuff not working oh boy it gets crazy lol.
So my week ended up being a little smoother, put on those big girl pants and got some stuff done. Also getting a little sleep, and a fixed washer life was looking up. 😁

My week ended up being productive on Wednesday I ended up getting all the clothes sorted and posted on line to be sold, got my kitchen sorta cleaned lol that is a everyday occurrence right! I also got more make up remover wipes made.I have a post on how to make these!
Then I went to bed shortly after I finally got the baby to bed, what a fairly good night sleep will do!

Thursday waking up feeling better was a great thing as I could breath and then think better! This was the day the hubby got my washer working again ❤ I then made a quick jug of fabric softener also go check out the blog on how I make this, I then “quickly” got 6 loads of laundry done haha 😩 with a mountain left, it was a good dent.
I will be doing a laundry routine blog soon. Let me know if this is something you are interested in seeing, with a big family there is always so much laundry!

I had then also made sure to get at least my sheets changed on the bed, as all I could really do is sweat it all out as a breastfeeding mother there is not really anything to take! So when in doubt sweat it out right? Haha I also sometimes will put Vicks on my feet with thick socks before bed this tends to really work!
Got some good hacks for a quick get well soon let me know in the comments down below, that is always useful information for anyone I believe haha.

Getting some of the house tidied up also helped. With the house not as wrecked it was nice. Heading into Friday it would be a better day, determined to get even more done, for the weekend here! I  even got a late night shower and put rollers in for Friday!😇

Friday was a pretty good day, and it helps when rolling into the weekend. A good Friday is always a great way to start the weekend I think, what about you?

With kiddos home for lunch again from school, it helped break up the time blocks. Other then the 2 years old fell asleep on the couch and woke up at nap time 🤦‍♀️
I ended up getting a bit done never as much as I want, but the house got cleaned up.

No deep cleaning in any means, but a good tidy.
After supper I had a fun dessert for our Friday fun night. They had banana boats, they love them.
Typically it’s for camping and you cook them on coals, but hey they were delicious still!

For this take a banana and cut length ways open slightly add middle with chocolate chips and marshmallows. Wrap in aluminium foil and bake if using oven bake at 350° about 25 -30 minutes. Banana will scoop right out the peel! They are really as good as they sound.

Oh and of coarse I tackled more laundry and proud to announce I’m almost caught up!

How was your week? Get some tasks out of the way, got a mind dump done just got caught up? Let me know in the comments down below!

I am looking forward to a good planner night, with a well deserved mind dump lol. Oh mama goals, am I right?

Till next blog have a great weekend, and a fun dessert!

This is the start to some new things I would like to try put on the blog. I thought I would take you through some of my week! Hopefully I can motivate you to get some of those nagging tasks out of the way!
This round was the beginning of a new month, a great month, a productive month. What tasks do you have to get accomplished? So what all to do, where to start?
I am starting with the excuse it’s the first day so I better get a running to do list going and have some coffee also. With the running list it can be anything I want to accomplish this month! Then as the week’s roll on the list will get rolled onto the week’s to do list each week, so the first week’s to do will be the months to do goals. Of coarse more will be added as the month goes on, but more will be crossed off.

Hello and good morning it’s Tuesday and I’m actually finishing this blog today, I’m going to do it this way because this blog is all about real life mom life yes?

Happy April!

Hello and good morning welcome to Its A Mom Life at classyclassicsbykandis.blogspot.com. all I can start with is I’m happy to be starting a new month!
New month, new goals right? This month I am so flustered with everything, I really don’t know anything.
It’s starting to bug me, my house is messy, the laundry is piling up…. not to mention we have to look at my washer as I think the hose is clocked! ‘😭 The baby’s bren fussy, list goes on!
It seems as tho I’m farther then I was and definitely not as organized as my mind thought. However new month new thoughts “out with the old, in with the new” this is what I am going with this month? What do you think? What’s your quote for the month or even the week? I try to have a nice saying to lead me through my days.
So for right now with the last day of March the roller coaster of a month, I decided to look at the bright side and work in my planner.
Start this month as great as I can. Getting organized, completing what I can off my running to do list, I am seeing that I got more done then it feels like. Ever feel like that  try a mind dump and see what is completed and actually what thoughts are important to us and what we are just thinking about. I bet you have done far more then you give yourself credit for!
Till next blog want that may entail have a great last day of March, and think of what April may have in store.

Well That SUCKS!

Hello and good morning welcome to Its A Mom Life at classyclassicsbykandis.blogspot.com.
Today is Friday, and actually Friday! I would like to first apologize for my flakiness this week! I had realized I was a little distracted when I posted Thursday’s blog on Wednesday.
I thought it was Thursday for some reason, even tho I knew it wasn’t as the kids have activities on Wednesdays. So for this blog it will be a longer read as I need to explain and talk about some issues that has occurred in the last week. I will also point out I am starting to write this blog Wednesday, and it is posted Friday. I thought I should take a couple days to focus on this blog and explain some situations.
So where to start, I think we shall start with ummm how about where is my brain these days. We all get distracted from time to time, as our days change and our season turn. How ever my week has been hit harder then normal.
I am wrapping my brain power in the family right now. Yes, this is something that is always on the mind however, last week it went up to full overload.
Last week was a turning point on many levels, as my husband, and my self went to the city for a grocery run with the two little ones, as we do every month, we were faced with a different outcome.
My husband was involved in a accident that has now left him unable to work or help with the children. As he will be in a tough place for many months, I am working with companies, running the house, managing the kids, and trying to make him as comfortable as I can.
I am going to put my full force into this as I am so blessed to be able to wake up and have him here. It is a change with him here and not being able to help, and with him here and seeing what all goes on in a 24 hour period, as I am usually awake for 18 of those hours lol.
So my days have blurred never the less these last couple days. This was a week ago, so its just getting used the to routines and adjusting to that little extra ump that is required.
So why the off blogs?
So another thing I wanted to touch on was, as my brian is working hard to filter through all the categories that I have put in to it, I also just kept on going with everything thinking I could just squeeze more in with out dropping a ball that was already in play.
As I kept going with the blog, thinking of just getting them out as I am still very excited about this new journey things started to slip. The blogs were not as great I lost any pictures that I had ready for them, and I was just squeezing what time I had in the mornings to get them out. I will take this time to point out that my house starts moving at 7 am on a good day, and I am getting 2 out of 4 kids out the door for school. Needless to say mammas brian was slipping.
As I am trying to figure out how I want  my blog to work and what aspects I would like to bring to the page, I thought this would be a good time to slow it down.
With a  blank folder now 😭 I will use the silver lining to get through.
So I am without a doubt going to keep on trucking with my blog life, as this is something I have debated about for years and finally got the courage to do.
With this all said I will be posting still many times a week just maybe not 6 time, I will still be doing diy’s and meals, prep and money saving ideas especially since money will be tight, with the main worker out.
However I would like to change it up and see how it goes. I would like to try more of a in the life of type of blogs.
Instead of having days set of for specific topics it might be all in one or just one topic in one. I am aiming for a couple blogs a week still.
However I need to remember to take a step back and take care of my group and keep on swinging as life throws those balls my way.
Let me know in the comments down below if you have had a time where everything fell really fast?
Are you interested in the blog changes? I am excited to do these types of blogs, especially with summer coming!
I hope you will enjoy the new blog posts, and will continue this journey with me.
As a mother and a wife I can do it all, but like all it gets draining.
So let’s stick it out and stick together and have a awesome run with the new changes for IT’S A Mom Life.
Till next blog have a great day, and just keep moving. Remember March is almost done!
Have a great one from classyclassicsbykandis 😁❤🍵

Red Tenderloin!!

Hello and good morning how are we doing this Thursday! Welcome to Its A Mom Life  where I aim to have mothers come together to tackle every day situation that a mother handles.
Today I would like to talk about a fantastic recipe for cooking a pork tenderloin. This is an easy recipe to do a big or small tenderloin. You can cook it in the oven or on the bbq!
I find a great way to save is to buy whole tenderloin, so a good go to sauce is wonderful. This recipe calls for 2 lb tenderloin.
If your ready grab a paper and pen as you will want to write this one down, and give it a try!
What you will need is

  • 2 lb tenderloin
  • 1/4 cup soya sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of each cinnamon, cloves and garlic powder.

Mix together and marinate meat for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 425° cook for 15 minutes uncovered.
Reduce heat to 350° cover and cook for another 30 minutes. Let sit for 10 minutes, slice diagonally.
This is paired with any side and is so good.
Give it a try let me know what you think of it in the comments down below.
Got a good tenderloin recipe? I would love to hear it!
Till next week happy cooking and I will write soon.
Have a great day from IT’S A Mom Life!

So… I had pictures for the blog, and then they got deleted 😨😭
I apologize for this!

Make The Room!

Have you ever wished you had more space? Wish you had a shrink machine or an extra closet? Has a mother of 4 and a small house I hear ya on that!
It seems the things that we need are the things that are the bulkiest and take up so much room!
I here to share a hack for one of those things. So if your ready to make just a little more room let’s do this.
Let’s start with good morning and welcome to Its A Mom Life. Please hit that follow button to join me here on It’s A Mom Life.
Today I would like to share a hack for those bulky sheets. They take up so much room, and when you need a set something is missing, usually a pillow case lol.
My hack that I want to show you has helped me out, and I’m sure it will help you too! How to make room is to take both sheets and fold them as you normally would. Now fold one of the pillow cases and put all three things in a pile. Now take the three items and place them inside the last pillow case.
This is all there is to it, and you will find that it  helps in space saving, and organizing more than you would think such an easy task would!
Is this something you do already? Have a home for your sheets or no? Let me know in the comments down below what do you do with your sheets.
Till next time happy space saving, and have a fantastic day!

Your Own Laundry Detergent!

Good morning everyone and welcome to Its A Mom Life! If you are new here to Its A Mom Life, make sure you hit that follow button for all the blogs here!
I am all about mom life and every thing that it comes with. As you can tell by the title this blog is all about homemade laundry detergent!
This is something that I have been making for a while now, and when I run out I always kringe on the store bought stuff now. I of coarse had found this one Pinterest, I will leave the link below for you!
It is easy and lasts a long time. It will last me between 6 to 10 months. In have never but wanted to take note of how long it lasts. I like that I can find the items easy and for the most part it is just mix together and carry on. I use a big tub for this as it is a powder. The most work is to grate the laundry bars with this I just use my cheese grater. Yes just my kitchen grater as I find it fine to use on soap.
So let’s talk about what you need. You need:

  • 2-3 bars or Laundry soap I use sunlight bars
  • borax
  • arm and hammer laundry soap
  • unstoppable
  • large box of baking soda
  • oxi clean.

That is all there is to make a large batch, with not needing more then a small scoop as I use one of the scoops from a cleaner anyways it works out great.
So just grate your soap and pour all the other stuff in. Mix it up and good to go!
This works great for all our clothes, big and small husbands work clothes and he works in the oil patch, to mamma stains and the endless kid stains.
This will coat me less then $60, which is ideal with how much laundry I do.
All the time the laundry is there for me lol.
So give it a try! Let me know what brand do you use, do you like it? Give this a try, is it better or not? Worth it or not?
If you liked this blog today let me know in the comments down below.
Till next time have fun with that mountain of laundry.
May the odds of catching up ever be in your favor.
Have a great Tuesday and I will talk to you and others soon!

 Dump all the products together
Mix together I just roll the container around
All you need is one scoop for a large load of laundry

Thank Golly For Meal Prepping!

Hello and good Sunday morning welcome to Its A Mom Life. For this blog I wanted to take you along with me as I am going to and have been prepping meals for the week. We had a crazy week as my husband had an accident!
With the craziness of life anyways followed by everything else, follow up on another blog.
However with everything thrown at us, suppers and life as been not top priority, however still a nessesety. I had got groceries at least, and now I’m needing to prep stuff so I don’t need to worry as much on that aspect. So where to start?
I need to look at what I have, the fridge to start as i need to there, I have meat to separate and bag up, so it can get into the freezer so it won’t go bad.
I had bought 2 pork tenderloins so I can get a bit there. So let’s cut those up first, and get the pack of chicken cooked up. With the pork there will be pork chunks for a stew or stir fry, then pork chops and a a meal with a half of the loin. Stay tuned for Thursday’s recipe blog.
Ok so the meats are taken care of now in to sides. I will do a big pot of potatoes, this can be mashed potatoes and then potato cakes. I will be doing a blog also on those, as we had them last n8ght and I got rushed and forgot to blog it!
Then on to veggies, there is cauliflower as I can sometimes get 2 meals from the one head. I will roast some one day and stream some with a cheese sauce for another. There is then mixed veggies, and any veggies from the freezer as I can go to my freezer inventory for ideas. I also had a big can of cream corn that got used used.
I make a big pot of rice for a couple meals, then the left overrice can be used in the pork stew!
With these I’m hoping to get the week prepped along with a couple weeks of meal planning done, to calm some waters!
I hope you enjoyed this blog, and if you want more like this let me know in the comments down below. Make sure you hit that follow button for all the upcoming blogs.
Till next time happy prep day, take some time today to save some time tomorrow!
Got any suggestions or questions on the prepping I am and will be doing let me know in the comments down below I would love to hear and answer any!

I was positive that I had other pictures however, this is 2 pork tenderloin, im just trim the fat and cut it into what prices I want. A pork tenderloin, 5 pork chop meals, and two packs of pork chunks! All that from 2 tenderloins I got both for $46.00!!

Cabin Fever Is A Real Thing!

Good morning, happy Friday and welcome to Its A Mom Life!
What a relief that spring is here! On the calender and in the weather… for now haha! It is always long winters here, by the time spring hits and your outside more it doesn’t seem that bad.
But, then finally all the snow melts and things start growing, in a couple more  months, then this is when I tend to say boy that was a long winter lol! What about who? When does it all come together for you?
I have noticed tho it’s hard to enjoy it all with such a little one still. The baby still needs to be in the snuggly outside, and can be hard with how much snow there is, and no walks until everything is softer. Those rutts are baaaaad lol.
So winter as felt long earlier this year, as I want outside but have to line up a lot to get out there.
Back to the point, I noticed it earlier this year, and so has my mood! I’m getting annoyed faster, I’m very snappy and just not as bubbly for as long lol.
So I am a firm believer now that cabin fever is real. How about you? Let me know your moods and thoughts!
As this is affecting me, I also can tell it’s real from how the toddler is these days. K I love the kid of coarse but some days all I can do is look at him and be like are you serious come on man really! 😂
Let me know in the comments down below are you getting cabin fever?
There is so much to still do, and so I am keeping my self busy in the house waiting for the grass and flowers, so we can bust out of the house.
As there will be other things as the seasons change to handle, but until then im just trying to wait.
Until next blog have a great sunny day, get those last nagging tasks done and out of the way, so we can enjoy the little bit of summer that we have.
Don’t forget to hit that follow button to get notification for upcoming blog fun.

Can’t Go Wrong With Vanilla!

Hello and welcome I’m Kandis thank you for checking out the blog here on It’s A Mom Life!
It’s a recipe day, and for this Thursday’s recipe let’s make a vanilla cake!❤
It was recently my birthday, another year older, and a little wiser.
This year was harder, as with the new baby I’m a breastfeeding mother, with this I have always had to follow a strict diet, as my babies were gassy on a lot of food!
Did you have this problem? I would love to know if I’m not the only one that had to really watch what I ate, or I was in for a gassy baby and some long days!
With this said I really wanted a cake for my birthday I turned 31😐 and deserves a cake haha.
So thinking the safest thing to try would be vanilla.
What about you yeah or nah on vanilla? Let me know in the comments down below. So after school, and outside fun the kids and I whipped up a cake. Sorry I didn’t get pictures of us doing this together as I was a little tied up, and I am still learing and trying to remember to take pictures for the blogs.
Prego brain I think is real and does not leave lol. I how ever still have some pictures still for the blog! Any who let’s get to the recipe!
For this amazing vanilla cake which by the way I have been using this recipe for years, it is my go to for vanilla batter which is out of the betty Crocker cook book that was my mother’s.
What you will need is :

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  •  1/2 cup shortening ( I use oil usually)
  • 1 cup milk
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla
  •  4 egg whites

mix together until smooth and then bake.
Preheat oven 350° bake until comes out clean either 35-40 min oblong pan, 2 layer cake is 30-35 minutes or cupcakes about 20 min. That is all for this cake, it is simple and so good.
Got a good cake recipe that you always go for?
Give this one a try let me know what you think of it in the comments down below.
Till next time have a great day and go ahead have your cake and eat it too!
